Be gloriously yourself!

>>>Weekend silliness {Went to Lady Gaga concert in Pittsburgh w/ queenies Paige & Connor Ridic. Beyond fabulous. Most definitely in my life’s top 10 best nights. In the words of Gaga “So happy I could die.”}

>>>Miracles happen. { My friend Amy is finally pregnant after months of trying! I like the way she said it in her blog post: ” Our baby is a direct gift from God. That is all there is to it. We certainly aren’t special or different this month than last – just gift receivers.” AND she has only two months left in her 1 Dress, 6 Months campaign for The Daughters Project. You can still donate!}

{ALSO, I wanted to personally thank everyone that prayed for Allyson.  I mentioned here that she and another teen from my high school were in a severe car crash in January. Allyson suffered brain swelling and internal bleeding from the crash, but she is back at home, back at school, alive and well. Miracles happen every single day. Healing happens every single day. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers for these girls!}

>>>Oscars fashion: {A few of my favorites}

  • Mila Kunis in an Elie Saab Spring 2011 Couture gown w/ Bottega Veneta clutch
  • Scarlett Johansson in a vibrant Dolce & Gabbana gown w/ Christian Louboutin shoes
  • Cate Blanchett in a crystal-and-pearl-embellished Givenchy Haute Couture gown
  • Halle Berry in a Marchesa beaded gown with dramatic tulle train
  • Camila Alves in a Kaufman Franco gown. {All images via Elle}

>>>I’m moving! {It doesn’t actually feel real, but I was offered a job as an Assistant Account Executive at Edelman in San Francisco.  I’m not going to go into details about it in this post, but my one tip of advice for college gradutes: rather than fill out millions of applications, seriously…just start networking. I’m beyond thrilled for the opportunity, but also feel overwhelmed with about one hundred other emotions. Happiness, nervousness, gratefulness, eagerness, [insert feeling here] }

>>>Inspiration

{Don’t worry when you are not recognized, but strive to be worthy of recognition. –Abraham Lincoln}

{So we’re not giving up. How could we! Even though on the outside it often looks like things are falling apart on us, on the inside, where God is making new life, not a day goes by without his unfolding grace. These hard times are small potatoes compared to the coming good times, the lavish celebration prepared for us. There’s far more here than meets the eye. The things we see now are here today, gone tomorrow.But the things we can’t see now will last forever. -2 Corinthians 4:16-18}

{There are two primary choices in life: to accept conditions as they exist, or accept responsibility for changing them. -Denis Waitley}

{The great thing is, once we let go of being everything, we have the opportunity to be gloriously ourselves!}

>>>>Thanks for reading queens! I’m the process of getting a blog redesign as well and would love your opinions and feedback. Remember to appreciate today for what it is and continue striving toward a better tomorrow. You are doing great! I honestly am bombarded with feelings of happiness and blessings. Take the opportunity to thank the people in your life who challenge, inspire and encourage you to grow. Until tomorrow, xo!
