Marchesa Fall 2011 RTW

>>>I dream of Marchesa. Seriously! This gowns and dresses are beyond fabulous! According to WWD.com, Marchesa’s Fall 2011 RTW collection was inspired by Charles Dickens’ “Great Expectations” The collection showcased draped Victorian-syle dresses dripped with destroyed silk tulle and unfinished, jagged hems. The designers Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig also featured lace motif from the bodice of the dress down to lace socks. The lace pattern was layered with different materials depending on the look; from leather to crystal pearls. My absolute favorite part of the collection is the use of color – the bright red lip contrasted with black gowns, the red and lavender dresses – and also the volume in the shoulders, the hips, the floor. Absolute beauty! Fall in love with the entire collection on Style.com here.

  1. When I see these dresses, I think about the ingenuity and the inspiration that must’ve been brewing to create such a different array of beauty.
