Risen

He is risen!

Happy Easter, queens! Today, I am thinking beyond egg hunts and Easter baskets and instead about the real reason we are celebrating. I shared this Robert Flatt in my Easter 2011 blog post: The resurrection gives my life meaning and direction and the opportunity to start over no matter what my circumstances.

To start over. To be aware of what’s being offered to us. To say thank you, big time. To experience overwhelming mercy and extravagant grace. What a sweet and glorious gift we are given!

God extended his mercy to each and every one of us, and even further, extended us grace. Gifts of peace instead of suffering and pain. Beauty instead of ashes, joy instead of mourning, life instead of death. Broken hearts are mended and despair turns to hope. We are poured with gifts every single day because of the resurrection! We are given purpose and meaning and direction.

Amazing grace today. He is risen!
